Most of the bus drivers seem to have language barriers so I guess this is the reason as they don’t seem to understand a lot, but there’s still no need for them to be so rude. The ones in Wales are basically as you’ve described, they always acknowledge me and are polite.

In most customer service jobs, the workers are at least polite. Bus drivers have yelled at me and literally ignored me when I said hi or how are you? If you are inconvenience d at a store or a restaurant in any way, the server or cashier usually apologizes. Bus drivers never apologize for being late. Even when it’s pouring outside and they’re fifteen minutes late they don’t say a word.

I find a lot of bus drivers to be pretty rude . I asked what time the last bus was on a Stagecoach bus and he said look at the timetable and rolled his eyes. I said there isn’t one so he said around 11pm. Great service there. Another time, I gave a bus driver 10p in 2p pieces and he absolutely hated it.
